To be eligible for a scholarship from The Susan T. Buffett Foundation, you must:

Be a resident of Nebraska
Graduate from a Nebraska high school or earn a Nebraska GED
Achieve at least a 2.5 cumulative unweighted GPA in high school
Be a first-time freshman when entering college
Plan to attend a Nebraska public college
- Nebraska Community Colleges - CCC, MCC, MPCC, NECC, SCC, or WNCC
- Nebraska State College System - Chadron State, Peru State, Wayne State
- University of Nebraska - NCTA, UNK, UNL, UNMC, or UNO
Have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) below $10,000
- To determine your EFC, complete the 2019-2020 FAFSA and check your Student Aid Report. EFC can also be determined by completing the 2019-2020 College Funding Estimator from EducationQuest.

Please note, you may not accept both the Buffett Scholarship and the following: Goodrich Scholarship at UNO, Avenue Scholars at MCC, NCPA at UNL, or Kearney Bound at UNK. Additionally, you will not be able to accept any other scholarships that conflict with the ability to complete the requirements of the scholarship and/or Learning Community.
